About the Role 

 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Learning Specialist – Instructional Design to support the design, development and deployment of technical training at BMA. This role plays a critical part in enhancing learner experience through fit-for-purpose training products.

 

This role will be based from Brisbane, with regular office attendance in Brisbane city and travel to Moranbah. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop Technical Training: Design and develop technical training that is mapped to a unit of competency.  
  • eLearning: Support with the updates and creations of eLearning packages for BMA 
  • Facilitation: Where appropriate, facilitate workshops to our key training stakeholders on site
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with site leaders, subject matter experts, and external providers to ensure the technical training is compliant against the unit of competency, Legislation and business processes. 
  • Travel: Regular travel to Moranbah is required to engage with stakeholders and subject matter experts. 
  • Program design: Where appropriate, support with the design and development of BMA instructor led training packages

 

About You

 

  • Proven experience in instructional design, that is written and mapped against a unit of competent 
  • A strong understanding of ASQA and RTO Standards
  • Strong coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. 
  • Confident and engaging facilitator, able to connect with diverse audiences. 
  • Experience in mining is highly desirable. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • Willingness and availability to fly regularly to Moranbah and other BMA sites as needed. 
  • Able to attend the Brisbane office within our hybrid ways of working, on non-travel weeks

 

Qualifications 

  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent) 
  • Desirable: Qualifications in instructional design, adult learning, or organisational development
