About the Role

 

Are you a qualified electrician looking to break into the mining industry? Whether you're just starting out or seeking a new challenge, BHP is offering an exciting opportunity to join our growing team and gain hands-on experience across our Iron Ore operations in the Pilbara region.

This is a FIFO role from Perth on a 182-shift annual roster, providing consistent fortnightly pay and the chance to work across five major sites: Yandi, Area C, South Flank, Jimblebar, and Whaleback.

 

Key Responsibilities:

As part of our shutdown maintenance team, you’ll play a key role in keeping our fixed plant equipment running safely and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintenance of Extra Low Voltage, Low Voltage, and High Voltage electrical systems
  • Inspection, servicing, and fault reporting on a range of electrical equipment
  • Installation and modification of cables, equipment, and infrastructure
  • Conducting protection equipment inspections and RCD testing
  • Supporting ramp-up and ramp-down activities
  • Performing HV (Radial) and LV isolations and managing shutdown lock boxes

 

About You
