About the Role

 

As the Maintenance Execution Specialist within the Mount Keith Nickel Operations Fixed-Plant Team, you will have the opportunity to support and guide a talented multi-disciplinary group tasked with achieving world-class equipment availability.

 

Reporting to the Superintendent of Maintenance Execution, this role is Fly-in, Fly-out between Perth and Mount Keith on a 5/2/4/3 roster.

 

In this role you will:

 

  • Initiate, Implement and report on maintenance improvement and safety projects
  • Improve the quality of planned maintenance work through detailed scoping and prioritisation of tasks, with a view to achieving long-term objectives
  • Support the execution supervisors with routines including purchasing, inventory management and master data
  • Conduct safety & risk audits and manage subsequent improvement projects

In addition, you will have the following skills:

 

  • A trade qualification is desired; however, it is not essential
  • Experience within a concentrator or processing plant with a good understanding of maintenance tasks
  • Ability to engage and influence multiple levels within an organisation
  • Have a well-developed continuous improvement focus and be comfortable in working within systems and processes in order to facilitate change
  • Be able to interpret, make decisions and determine corrective actions based on data
  • Understand maintenance risk management and mitigation processes with regard to safety, plant reliability and availability
  • Possess advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and SAP

 

Location

 

Nickel West Mt Keith is located 460 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie in the Northern Goldfields.  Nickel West Mt Keith is a surface mining operation with multiple open pits and a concentrator plant.  The operation is surrounded by pastoral stations, with the nearest townships being Leinster and Wiluna.  There’s plenty to keep you entertained in the Mt Keith Village. Take the heat off the day and head to the pool – or join in any number of social activities. Employees commute to and from Perth on a fly in / fly out roster or form regional areas on a drive in / drive out roster.
