About the Role
Reporting to the Superintendent Processing Services, this opportunity is a position based at Newman Operations working on a 5/2 or flexible roster pending discussion with the line leader.
Working closely with the Processing Supervisors, Coordinators & Planners, the role is responsible for coordinating work management activities for the Newman operations Processing Production team to support the scheduling and delivery of planned and unplanned work.
You’ll be playing a key role to ensure Processing’s planned and scheduled work is executed safely, planned efficiently and to a high quality. We’ll also be asking you to provide hands on support to Processing leadership, particularly with day to day administration and planning of maintenance works and provide subject matter expertise to improvement projects. It will be very important to maintain productive and positive relationships with our vendors and site stakeholders.
• Liaise with Supervisors for labour and equipment owner for equipment access
• Work order creation and approval for breakdowns and parts
• Review pre-read schedule
• Attend meetings with MECoE and support planned work validation with MECoE planner
• Review and approve notifications
• Coordinate OCETs for off contract vendors
• Prioritise and plan work backlog
• Monitor labour requirements in consultation with the Supervisor
• Reschedule tasks in current week window and bring forward opportune work
• Purchase inventory including stock transfers and parts follow up
• Raise, monitor and track purchase orders for resources, equipment and goods.
• Expedite/urgent freight parts
• Timesheet approvals
• Work with contractors to enter time confirmations, notifications and scan completed inspections
About You
As the successful candidate you will ideally possess the following:
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and ensuring all work practices are reflective of our Charter Values.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of maintenance management in SAP and advanced SAP skills
• Experience with mobile machinery such as loaders, excavators, watercarts, etc. desirable but not essential
• C Class Driver’s License
• Strong computer skills – using Microsoft Office suite, SAP, Excel
