About the role

We are seeking Expressions of interest for Trade Qualified Candidates who are seeking a family friend roster or job share arrangement.  We have various opportunities at our mine sites and Mackay based Repair Centre.

 

Encouraging expression of interest from Traded candidates who are seeking a roster that will accommodate a busy family lifestyle.  If you are looking for an encouraging environment and a roster that supports those who need to be at home contributing to the household and family commitments.

 

We are looking for;

  • Heavy Diesel Fitters
  • Boiler Makers

Ideally you will have mining or fixed plant experience.

 

The rosters we have are;

Bowen Basin Part time / Job Share Roster

  • 7 x 12-hour shifts, 21 days off.   FIFO available from Brisbane, Cairns and Townsville and bus available from Mackay.

Mackay Repair Centre Part time / Job Share Roster

  • 4 x-10 hour shifts, 10 days off.  These positions will be residential for Mackay.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planned and breakdown maintenance on a variety of mobile plant and equipment
  • Carrying out inspections and repairs on equipment as per maintenance strategies
  • Performing work orders as per schedule to a high standard
  • Contribute to a positive team culture and work to a high degree of safety always

About You

  • Trade Qualified in one of the above, or some mechanical aptitude for Trade Assistant role
  • Good communication and positive attitude
  • Team focused, with a high regard for safety in the workplace
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills 
  • Ability to work as part of a diverse team
