What We’re Looking For

 

We are searching for a leader with proven experience in building high‑performing teams, who is passionate and energised by the opportunity to shape the future.

 

  • Proven experience in setting up and leading large-scale technology delivery centres or shared services in India. 
  • Strong background in technology project delivery, software engineering, data platforms, and cloud services. 
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams in a global context. 
  • Expertise in governance, risk management, and compliance for technology functions. 
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills across geographies.
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience

About the Role

 

The Manager, Technology Delivery India will establish and lead BHP’s Technology India hub, building a high‑performing team that provides critical digital capabilities such as AI, machine learning and data analytics to support BHP’s global operations. The role will shape the hub’s foundations, driving operational excellence and a culture of innovation and collaboration.

 

In this role, your key accountabilities will include:

  • Establish the new Technology India hub, including implementation of the operating model and governance.
  • Provide single point of accountability for Technology India office solutioning and sustainability.
  • Define and implement processes for resource onboarding, capability development, and performance management.
  • Strategise and Lead the hub’s priorities with BHP’s Technology strategy and global delivery model.
  • Identify goals and metrics to measure the performance of the Technology India team
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation to enhance service quality and efficiency.
  • Develop critical technology capabilities and talent pipelines within the Technology India workforce.
  • Partner with global Technology leaders and key stakeholders to understand demand and deliver outcomes.
  • Have a deep understanding of project management standards and guidelines to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
  • Represent Technology India in governance forums and ensure transparent communication.
  • Monitor performance metrics, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with BHP standards.

  • Identify and assess risks, make informed decisions using BHP's risk management framework, and foster a risk-aware culture for safe and productive outcomes. Gather information, plan, and conduct analyses to support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Applies an understanding of the business context, BHP operating model and ways of working to enhance decision making, productivity and value chain performance.
  • Engages the capabilities of the entire organisation.
