About the role

 

Requirement to appoint a full time Manager Project Engineering to ensure provide leadership and direction to Tailings Pillar in developing of TSF projects, project/program engineering strategies, tender processes for services contracts, standards and frameworks that ensure the engineering process and design is optimised to enable safe, efficient and effective construction, commissioning and operation.

 

Responsabilities:

 

  • Strongly aimed to a safety focus.
  • Provide engineering expertise and management of engineering resources to support medium & large projects.
  • Manages the project engineering resources and act as a single point of contact for the project or study manager for all project engineering deliverables and inputs.
  • Works with the Study / Project manager to ensure project engineering development & execution activities achieve the integrated project scope, cost & schedule requirements and manages disciplines engineering resources.
  • Implements capability development plans to ensure appropriately skilled project engineering resources matched to underlying project scope.
  • Drives adherence to all statutory and operational technical and engineering standards.
  • Leads provisioning of Project Engineering expertise as input to value improvement practices.
  • Leads performance management of Project Engineering performed by 3rd parties within the project.
  • Collaborates with Commissioning and Delivery to ensure that engineering is developed to able to support commissioning and execution methodologies, strategies and systems.
  • Monitors project engineering progress in conjunction with the Study/ Project Manager so the schedule spillage can be monitored and the effects minimised.

About You

 

Requirements:

 

  • Civil Engineer, entitled.
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in mining projects, 10 years in Tailings Storage Facilities design and at least 5 years leading teams.
  • Knowledge and experience with engineering contractors, experience in cost estimate, execution plans and scheduling
  • of small and medium mining projects.
  • Competent in the use of relevant software such as MS Office.
  • Experience in work with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

 

Location: Santiago

 

Mandatory requirement: Availability to travel to our operations.
