Purpose
Reporting to the Head of Global Generative Exploration, the Manager Generative Basin-Hosted Copper will be responsible for leading a global team of geoscientists in identifying and advancing the exploration of new concepts for copper deposits hosted in sedimentary basins.
About the Role
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Shape the exploration portfolio: build a global portfolio of BHP-scale opportunities in basin-hosted copper systems.
- Develop people: build and develop a team of geoscientists that effectively integrate multiple geoscience disciplines in a business context to generate and execute exploration opportunities, and reinforce our Charter Values to influence discovery success.
- Develop partnerships: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to build key relationships and establish partnerships to achieve BHP's exploration strategy.
- Enable commercial agility: work with BHP's internal teams and leverage external network to inform commercial opportunities for resource growth.

About You
- Tertiary qualification in geoscience; deep expertise in basin evolution, mineral systems and economic geology;
- Extensive experience in designing, executing and delivering greenfield exploration projects in basin-hosted copper mineral systems;
- Demonstrated experience effectively integrating multiple geoscience disciplines to inform business decisions;
- Proactively able to build strategic internal and external relationships.
- Experience in building, managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Ability to influence and lead change by creating a coaching culture and developing capability across functions.
- Proven expertise in cutting through complexity and crafting long term, value creating strategies.
- Innovative mindset and learning agility with an ability to use risk intelligence to enable growth and better decisions.
