About the Role:
The Identity & Access Management (IAM) function is key enabler for our organisations contractor heavy workforce supporting our Functions and Assets developments. Our current IAM capabilities aren't providing the efficient and simplified resource on-boarding experience for BHP. Leading to project delays, increased resource costs and negative user-felt experience. Additionally IAM is a key cyber security and critical control requirement for BHP's data and digital transformation aspirations. BHP needs the elevated position to attract the right senior skills, experience and capabilities currently BHP doesn't have internally. To ensure BHP isn't exposed to unnecessary cyber risks and gaps in the IAM environments as reliance on this capability increases.
The IAM Manager will own the IAM transformation strategy, understand the latest IAM technologies and enterprise integration requirements, be aware of the IAM best practices to innovate technical solutions to combat threats facing BHP and its digital aspirations. The IAM Manager will closely collaborate with Strategy & Architecture and IT Cyber Security teams ensuring the appropriate standards, policies and compliance requirements. This role can be based out of Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide or Melbourne.
Responsibilities:
- Required to collaborate with and influence senior Technology stakeholders including HOs and Product Management teams as a member of the Cloud & Network Leadership team.
- Advanced relevant Professional and Technical skills such as Stakeholder Management, Troubleshooting & Problem Solving and Prioritisation & Resource Allocation.
- Own and provide strategic direction for the design of the IAM roadmaps and operating model which supports efficient and effective adoption and support of IAM products and services.
- Constantly forward looking in IAM technical advancements, regulatory compliance requirements by engaging with Industry and Governing bodies.
- Collaborate across BHP globally to bring together internal subject matter experts to understand identity, data, applications, end-user compute, and cyber security requirements for IAM.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to access controls and identity management.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of IAM professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of IAM controls and processes, making recommendations for enhancements.
About You:
- Degree qualification in Technology, Computer Science related, ideal candidates would have minimum 8- 10 years of comparable experience. Advanced degrees or certifications in security or IAM are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in successfully implementing and or significant involvement with an Identity transformation program.
- Engages the capabilities of the entire organisation.
