About the Role
As the Manager Project Controls & Analysis (PC&A), you will provide leadership to teams focused on the provision of project controls (i.e. risk management, cost estimating, cost management and planning & scheduling) to influence the development of capital efficient projects and deliver these projects on-time and on-budget.
As part of this role, you will also translate strategy into operational plans for the department and provide input and transparency to the investment approval requests.
This position will be full-time (Monday to Friday) based in Adelaide with site travel as required.
Reporting to the Head of Project Controls & Analysis, Minerals Australia, your accountabilities will include:
- Ensure conformance with the BHP Values and Code, BHP Operating System (BOS), Our Requirements, and relevant standards and procedures.
- An overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development.
- Establish and/or oversee the implementation of strategies, plans, controls, processes and systems.
- Ensure effective delivery of PC&A services to maximise value for the business.
- Prepare succession plans and develop/maintain the functional talent pool.
- Ensure teams are appropriately resourced to deliver value to BHP's investments.
- Lead the identification and implementation of improvement initiatives for increased capital efficiency and productivity in the function.
- Provide advice and guidance to the Head of Projects and other key stakeholders.
About You
As the successful applicant you will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated relevant experience with strong technical expertise in Project Management or Project Controls roles.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in delivering portfolios of major projects.
- Demonstrated experience with project management systems and techniques.
- Proven experience building, leading and developing high-performance teams.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work collaboratively
- Strong technical and mentoring capabilities.
