About the Project

The West Musgrave project is located in the Musgrave Province of Western Australia and includes the Nebo and Babel nickel-copper deposits and the Succoth copper deposit. The Ngaanyatjarra Peoples are the traditional owners of the land. The West Musgrave project is a greenfield project aiming to significantly contribute to sustainable mining as a low-emissions open-cut mine, producing minerals essential to a low-carbon economy. The Project is in construction phase at present, scheduled for conclusion in late 2025.

West Musgrave will be a large-scale world class mine built and operated by world class people. With the support we have received from the Ngaanyatjarra people and Western Australian government, investment approval for West Musgrave in September 2022 unlocked one of the largest undeveloped nickel projects in the world.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of respecting the past and shaping the future through finding new and innovative ways to build lasting value for generations to come. In addition to the ~80 per cent renewable energy sourced from wind and solar for power generation, the project scope includes a pathway to net zero scope 1 emissions by 2038.

Guided by our purpose of ‘Going Beyond What is Possible to Make Lives Better’, as part of the West Musgrave commercial team you will be part of a once in a generation opportunity to construct the Australia’s largest off-grid renewable powered mine, delivering a project that improves the lives of our stakeholders (workforce, community, government, shareholders, customers, and suppliers).
