About the Role
Leadership of Property & Workplace Regional team, driving a high performing culture of continuous improvement. Business partnering and facilitation of senior stakeholder decision making, aligning Property & Workplace activity with current and future business needs. Collaborating across P&W leadership team and functions on P&W strategic planning and delivery of global and regional initiatives. Accountable for governance and delivery of property and workplace services and activity across all locations within region, adhering to BHP’s requirements. Ownership of assigned global material risk/s and assurance that team members are appropriately managing associated controls.
Main Accountabilities
- Govern adherence to annual opex and capex budgets for service providers and P&W across the region.
- Define and guide regional strategy in collaboration with the Portfolio & Projects team, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
- Translate business requirements into capital plans, prepare business cases and approval documentation.
- Act as the business representative for major projects, ensuring governance, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and efficient delivery.
- Maintain strategic relationships with external property and related industries, bringing insights and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with HSE, labor relations, risk, and regulatory requirements, aligned with global operational standards.
- Lead the regional team, managing development, performance, succession planning, and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Oversee governance of operational risk management, business continuity, emergency response, and security.
About You
- Masters or Bachelor degree in Property, Project Management, Economics, Strategy or Business Administration.
- Experience in budget management in opex and capex of circa US$25M per annum.
- Experience developing and operationalising property & workplace strategic plans incorporating financials, people, process and technology across multiple cities/regions.
- Experience leading global or regional building, property and asset management teams & standards.
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
