These opportunities are being offered on a residential basis in the beautiful Hunter Valley region of NSW. BHP’s Mt Arthur Coal is the largest individual coal production site in the region. Located less than 5 kilometres from Muswellbrook, NSW we produce high quality, clean energy coal for international and domestic customers. About the role


As these roles are residential, our successful applicants will be required to live within a safe distance from our mine site, aligned with our fatigue management policies. Please note accommodation and travel is not provided for these positions.

 

 

We are looking to engage with experienced tradespeople to join our team at our Mt Arthur operations, living residentially and enjoying all that the valley has to offer.  

 

 


Reporting to a Maintenance Supervisor, within the Mobile Equipment Maintenance team your duties will include:


•    Commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility & sustainable development
•    Quality risks assessments prior to the completion of any work (60 Seconds for Safety / JHA)
•    Hazard identification and reporting
•    Diagnostics
•    Quality preventative maintenance, replacements, and repairs 
•    Adequate scoping of corrective work to facilitate the planning process
•    Completion of Field Leadership activities
•    Maintaining a valid Pit License for break down response

 

 

About you
 

•    A Mechanical Fitter or Heavy Duty Diesel trade qualification, with Mobile Maintenance and diagnostics experience
•    Familiarity with heavy mobile plant (Ie” Caterpillar, Liebherr, Komatsu, etc.)
•    Work scoping experience for the detailing of corrective work to facilitate the planning process
•    Experience in mining maintenance environments
•    Capability in 1SAP desirable
