As an underground Mine Surveyor, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling survey activities associated with the mining operation. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a passion for improving mine safety.

 

Location: Carrapateena, South Australia (60-minute flight from Adelaide / 30-minute flight from Port Augusta)
Roster: 8 days on; 6 days off

In This Role You Will:

  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of survey tasks within the underground mine.
  • Produce survey memos for underground development.
  • Update and maintain mine plans.
  • Stockpile volume measurement using UAVs.
  • Adhere to statutory and regulatory requirements related to mine surveying activities.
  • Maintain survey control network and conduct necessary check surveys.
  • Complete production ring mark-ups and void scans.
  • Work according to underground mine standards and processes.

 

 

About You:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively coordinate survey activities and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Post graduate surveying experience (Bachelor Degree or Tafe Diploma) is essential 
  • Experience in underground metalliferous mining
  • Proficiency in organising and completing daily underground survey tasks.
  • Familiarity/Proficiency with Deswik CAD, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and point cloud processing software (Desirable)
  • Proficiency with Leica Total Stations (Desirable)
  • RePL up to 25kg (Desirable).
  • Australian driver’s license (Manual driving required)
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic mining environment.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to integrate well into a team.
  • Passion for mine safety and the ability to be a safety leader.
