About the Opportunity
The Production Drilling Miner position is an exciting opportunity to join our Underground Production team within the Drill & Blast department. This role offers an exceptional work–life balance, operating as a job-share arrangement:
7 days on, followed by 21 days off — ideal for someone seeking meaningful on-site work coupled with extended time at home.
In this role, you will be responsible for undertaking production drilling activities to safely and efficiently meet department targets. You will operate specialized underground drilling equipment to deliver precise and quality drilling services across multiple drilling scopes.
Key Responsibilities
- Drill uphole and downhole production blast holes to specified design parameters.
- Execute drilling of cable bolt holes and service holes as required.
- Work closely with the Drill & Blast team to achieve daily and weekly production targets.
- Maintain safe operational practices in alignment with site procedures and statutory requirements.
- Conduct pre-start checks, equipment inspections, and adhere to all safety reporting processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support efficient underground operations.

What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2+ years' work experience in underground mining at Olympic Dam
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a manual vehicle
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Team player with a safety-first mindset
- Ability to adapt to shift work and time away from home
