About the Role
The Miner Stope Blasting role is an exciting opportunity within the Underground Production Team. This role will see you undertaking stope blasting activities within the Production department to safely and efficiently achieve departmental
In this role you will:
- Prepare and charge production blast holes in alignment to plan
- Provide leave coverage through the operation of Production Drill rigs
- Provide relief in other positions within and outside of the department where required, including but not limited to Ventilation tasks , magazine keeping, and operation of production Drill Rigs, IT's, trucks and loaders.
Please note this position is based at Olympic Dam, operating on a 7:7 Day/Night Rotation pattern roster arrangement.
About You
- Proven commitment to look after your own well-being and the confidence to speak up when others are in harm's way
- Effective communication skills to develop and promote effective working relationships across the shift and with other departments
- Minimum 2 years working in an underground hard rock enviornment
- Be able to work with limited supervision, manage time effectively and be highly detail orientated
- Required to provide or be able to obtain a Police Clearance and Blasters License
- Previous experience working with explosives is highly regarded.
