About The Role

 

As a member of the Short-Term Planning Team, you will be uniquely placed to experience many different facets of a growing SLC/BC mine. With it comes the responsibility and opportunity to have a significant impact on the performance, safety and culture of the operation.

 

 

Location: Carrapateena, South Australia (60-minute flight from Adelaide / 30-minute flight from Port Augusta)
Roster: FIFO 8 days on, 6 days off

 

In this role you will:

 

  • Assist with the delivery of the 13 week mine plans at Carrapateena. This will be achieved through close engagement with our wider Mining Technical & Technology team, Operations teams and our numerous mining contract partners.
  • Provide critical path tracking towards BC to ensure dates are understood and socialised across site and variance to LOA dates are understood and mitigated where possible.
  • Deliver monthly/quarterly mine plan compliance reports inclusive of P2P reconciliation, spatial compliance and success KPIs in a Plan>Do>Check>Act cycle.
  • Provide Internal BHP planning and reporting requirements for on cycle planning, budget generation and major project study support.
  • Analyse Threat mitigation and problem solving to find better ways to execute the schedule including trade off studies
  • Assist with Cave Flow runs for the SLC using PGCA and later runs for the BC using PCBC.
  • Provide shutoff analysis and scenario work as well as footprint finder and owning the plan for the SLC in the <2 year time horizon.
  • Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, drive a quality mine plan.

 

As Carrapateena enters a new phase of production ramp-up and operational readiness for the block cave, you will also be involved in the detailed mine planning of mass excavations, block cave footprint and associated infrastructure.

 

 

 

About You

 

  • A commitment to developing safety leadership
  • Experience in underground mining in either practical underground experience, mine scheduling, production, design, mine projects or equivalent
  • Experience in cave flow or short term scheduling
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or an aligned discipline
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to work to multiple deadlines
  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills
  • Deswik.CAD and Deswik.Sched experience an advantage
