About the Role

 

Working across our underground operation, you will provide specialist advice and execute analysis and benchmarking of end-to-end performance that support the integrity, safety, and performance of Prominent Hill. You will identify and implement a portfolio of improvement initiatives that enable excellence and support business priorities for continuous improvement.

 

 

This position is based at Prominent Hill, operating on an 8/6 FIFO roster.

 

 

In this role you will: 

 

  • Compile reports & provide expertise to other teams in analysis of production performance indicators and metrics.

  • Analyse and determine equipment capability assumptions.

  • Conduct data analysis & interpretation to support reporting requirements and improvement initiatives.

  • Prepare inputs to form the budget and provide forecast updates and budget analysis.

  • Identify and deliver improvement opportunities using the BHP Operating System (BOS) practices.

  • Assess and manage execution, change and project risk.

  • Identify safe operational practices, including field leadership activities.

  • Working closely with contractors to ensure that new ideas are developed and practically implemented.

 

 

About You

 

  • Degree qualification in Mining Engineering or other closely related tertiary qualification related to mining.

  • Underground mining knowledge and experience is preferred 

  • Ability to work independently and have experience meeting individual and team KPIs.

  • Strong communication skills which allow effective engagement with all levels of management.

  • Financial experience is advantageous but not essential.

  • Thorough understanding of the mine development and production cycle is preferred.

  • Experience in managing and implementing improvement initiatives highly regarded.

  • Attention to detail and the demonstrated ability to work with data.

  • Experience with Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, Webex, Deswik and similar is preferred.
