BHP Olympic Dam is seeking multi‑skilled Mobile Plant Operators to join the Road Maintenance team within the underground mine.
The Road Maintenance team is responsible for maintaining underground roadways and supporting infrastructure. Key activities include road grading, sheeting and repairs, bogging and delivery of road base materials, bogging of underground sumps, and the installation and maintenance of drainage systems and pipes for effective water management.
The Road Maintenance fleet includes:
- CAT 150M Graders
- CAT R2900XE Loaders
- CAT 930M Integrated Tool carriers (ITs)
- CAT 432F Backhoes
- Epiroc MT65 Trucks
About You
You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:
- Demonstrated experience operating mobile plant equipment such as graders, loaders, backhoes, ITs and trucks in civil or mining environments (essential)
- Experience operating the specified plant models is preferred but not essential
- Previous underground mining experience is desirable but not required
- Strong commitment to and understanding of HSEC behaviours
- Ability to work effectively within Olympic Dam operations and across functional teams
- Proven capability to work in a fast‑paced, varied operational environment, engaging with multiple departments to meet mine schedules
