About the Role

 

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Copper South Australia Asset Health team as an Occupational Health Nurse. 

 

This role is a 0.5 FTE, Adelaide based position that will operate on a 7 days on / 21 days off roster with the opportunity to get experience at our operational sites if desired.

 

Based at the BHP Adelaide Airport Office, you will be working closely with the Site Access administrators to efficiently execute on-boarding processes such as PPE Fit testing and Pre-employment verifications. Additional responsibilities will include the offsite health surveillance activities, return to work reviews and health administration. You will be motivated by a multi-faceted environment and the opportunity to problem solve and drive positive change whilst being confident with technology and innovation.
 

About You

 

To be successful in the Occupational Health Nurse role you will have a genuine desire to help people achieve positive health and wellbeing outcomes; combined with a clear understanding of the role that the resources sector plays in health and wellbeing management of our most important asset – our people.  

 

You will have a working knowledge of relevant Health related legislation and requirements, effective injury and illness treatment and management, and experience developing and delivering preventative and improvement health initiatives. It is desirable that you have accreditation in respiratory fit testing, spirometry and audiometry. Proven experience as a tertiary qualified nursing professional (Registered Nurse) and AHPRA registration is essential. 

 

Your previous experience will mean that you have the ability to develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with our operations stakeholders and medical and allied health providers, with excellent communication skills. You will be committed to coaching, influencing, and encouraging a mentally healthy workforce.
