About the Roles
Several BMA Mine Sites across the Bowen Basin are currently seeking experienced Production Operators for permanent part-time roster opportunities. Reporting to the specific Mine Site’s Supervisor Production, you will play a key role in day-to-day mining operations, ensuring efficiency and safety at all times.
These roles would be suited to individuals based in the Bowen Basin, Mackay region of Central Queensland or Brisbane or Cairns as these roles are being offered on a variety of travel models - residential, drive-in-drive-out (DIDO) and limited fly-in-fly-out (FIFO) from Brisbane or Cairns. Accommodation is provided in one of our Villages whilst working on roster.
As a part-time Production Operator, you would be required to perform a range of mostly 12.5 hour shifts, on rotating days only or day/night roster patterns. Examples of the rosters on offer include (but not limited to) the following:
- 7 Days on / 7 off / 7 Nights on / 35 days off
- 7 Days on / 21 days off
- 7 Days on / 7 off / 7 nights on / 34 days off
- 7 Nights on / 21 days off
About You
You will be an experienced and safety focused Production Operator holding current qualifications to operate one or more mining equipment:
- Haul Truck - CAT 789 | 793 | 797 Komatsu 930E, T282 and/or equivalent
- Grader - CAT 16M - 24M
- Dozer Push - CAT D10 | D11
- Loader - WA1200 | CAT994
- Excavator / Shovel - Hitachi 5600 | CAT 6040, 6060
- Liebherr 9800 or similar size equipment
- Water Truck – CAT 785
- Trainer and Assessor qualification would be an advantage
