About Mt Arthur Coal
Mt Arthur Coal is an open-cut coal mine 100 per cent owned by BHP. Located in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales it's the largest producer of energy coal in the region, operating alongside olive growers, wine makers, horse breeders and the nearby residential community of Muswellbrook.

About the Role
The Planner CHPP and Infrastructure Electrical is responsible for developing, maintaining, and communicating work plans in accordance with the 1SAP Work Management. This role will be focusing on Processing Electrical and High Voltage.
This role works closely with the Maintenance Execution teams to ensure the area equipment is maintained safely and reliably as well as delivering continuous improvement to work plans.
Responsibilities include:
- Plans work in accordance with the 1SAP Work Management process, accurately identifying the required components and resources prior to scheduling.
- Arranges specialist or external resources (where required) to support the completion of complex work.
- Monitors the Parts Availability Tracker (PAT) and liaises closely with Supply to ensure parts and rotatable materials are delivered on time.
- Improves SAP Master Data to embed Standard Work Packages into Task Lists.
- Provides technical and system support to develop the broader team.
- Supports the automation of planning processes by proactively turning tacit knowledge into system-embedded information.
- Identifies opportunities for standardization across sites.
- Verifies and optimises strategies using Asset Health Evaluator inputs and liaises with the strategy owner to recommend a course of action.
- Monitors asset health inputs to identify maintenance requirements not yet in 1SAP or opportunities to align bodies of work that were necessary for an asset, or asset class.
This is a full time residential role working a Monday to Friday roster.
About You
- Trade Certificate or Technical Diploma
- Experience in High Voltage
- Registered, or eligible to register, Qualified Electrical Worker
- In-depth Planning and Scheduling experience using SAP
- High attention to detail, structured and organized demeanor, motivated, and high commitment to quality outcomes (work order packages)
- Self-reliant contributor with distinctive proficiency in the Maintenance / Work Management Planning area
- Demonstrated ability to learn and quickly comprehend new concepts and technologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders including functional managers and discipline leads on the project, clients, outside vendors and contractors
