About the Role

Develops and fosters industry partnerships that create access to specialised AI skills (e.g. AI models, AI Engineering, AI-centric business domain problem solving, and training), relevant to business teams in specific 'AI Industry Hub ' locations. Geographic hub locations to be chosen for strategic importance to BHP and currently include Singapore, Perth, Toronto, and Santiago.

Key accountabilities include:  

• Develops and fosters AI-centric industry partnerships to facilitate agile and efficient collaborative delivery projects. Partner understanding of appropriate BHP technical design standards, delivery standards, and requirements, and adoption of broad partner AI services.
• Develops business capability in region to adopt value of mature AI tools through industry collaboration, including establishing and managing AI capability chapters.  
• Supports the development of a pool of high caliber AI expertise in region to support delivery, both of Digital Domains and broader business and Technology initiatives.
• Manages relationships with external AI providers and partners in region to ensure BHP has access to the best AI talent and resources. 

About You

You are:

You have: 

• Extensive experience in leadership / senior AI / Data Science and Project delivery positions. 
• Relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant fields such as Data Science, Computer Science, or Information Technology. 
• Excellent engagement and relationship building skills.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken, is required. While not mandatory, fluency in Spanish is a definite plus!

We offer flexible work arrangements and are open to full-time, part-time, and job-share arrangements. Enjoy a Monday to Friday schedule with options for hybrid work, allowing you to balance your professional and personal life effectively.
