About the Role
The Principal Analytics & Reporting plays a key role in driving HSE performance across Copper SA by providing expert analytics, reporting, and data-driven insights. This role transforms complex health, safety, environment, and community data into actionable intelligence, helping identify trends, mitigate risks, and support informed decision-making to improve outcomes across the business.
This role will be offered as a 6 month fixed-term opportunity, based in Adelaide.
In this role you will:
- Apply an understanding of specific HSE systems, management, activities, risks, key processes, terminology, and workflow (e.g. Health, Hygiene, Environment, Security, Safety, Emergency Response and Assurance).
- Identify Copper SA Asset’s internal and external reporting requirements and governance for the delivery of requirements.
- Champion for Integrated Management System Element 19 - Event Reporting and Investigation.
- Identify ideas for improved efficiencies for Asset reporting.
- Create and maintains strategic Health, Safety, Security and Emergency Management Dashboards aligned with business priorities and customer needs.
- Support data analysis for annual planning cycle.
- Support data analysis for HS&SEM improvement initatives.
- Work with the EMS and FLEX system and data owner to ensure fit for purpose data as it relates to Health and Safety dashboards.
About You
- Qualifications in HSE related field or data science field regarded
- Mining, oil & gas or aligned heavy industry experience
- Significant demonstrated analytics and data science experience
- HSE system knowledge will be advantageous
- Demonstrate skills in procedures and their development
- Possess advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
- Exhibit strong stakeholder engagement and communications skills
- Have excellent presentation skills, written abilities, with attention to detail and broad analytical capability
