About the MECoE
BHP Maintenance and Engineering Centre of Excellence (MECoE) is the coming together of a dedicated, innovative team focused on identifying, achieving and maintaining the highest standards in maintenance for BHP globally.

About the Role
We are currently inviting experience technical talent with Mobile Equipment Asset Planning to express interest and apply. This new hire aims to support our inclusion and diversity within our MECoE department.
The Principal Asset Planning is a key role supporting the synergies between multiple BHP operations, functions and Assets, ensuring that we have a common approach for managing our mining equipment assets, and that equipment selection aligns with our long-term plans.
Reporting to the Manager Asset Planning and Standards, this role will support in-depth modelling and analysis and provide recommendations to the long-term selection of mining equipment. This team will provide a global view of equipment requirements and key decisions relating to repurposing, re-deployment, purchase or retirement of capital equipment. This role will ensure that we deliver equipment and asset requirements to meet production demand and our decarbonization plans.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders on mobile fleet capital requirements.
- Support mobile fleet analysis including whole of life and productivity models.
- Develop and extend system reporting and process automation.
About You

You will ideally possess:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to tell stories through data.
- Experience with the principles of holistic asset management, demonstrated experience in whole of life cycle costing and knowledge of ISO55001.
- Demonstrable experience in mobile mining equipment, application, maintenance engineering/and or studies.
- High proficiency in presentation and communication skills, with an exceptional ability to influence stakeholders.
- It is essential that you are a team player who can effectively work with a complex stakeholder group and can perform deep technical analysis.
