About the Role

 

In this role you will provide coaching and technical expertise in identifying, scoping and delivering ongoing business improvement opportunities.
 

  • Facilitates self-assessment against the BHP Operating System (BOS) framework and helps teams identify areas for improvement aligned to project execution strategy. Coordinates improvement activities for team performance uplift. 
  • Coaches individuals and teams in the application of BOS principles, practices and tools by building rapport, providing feedback and overcoming barriers to BOS implementation to support the achievement of the global BOS transformation.  
  • Communicates narratives about the problem or idea at hand, using visual representations to engage and motivate the audience.  
  • Assesses change impacts to prepare integrated change management plans, manages change readiness and resistance, and upskills leaders and impacted stakeholders in the adoption and successful delivery of the change.  
  • Identifies, engages and manages a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders.  
  • Conducts presentations and facilitates workshops using storytelling to connect, influence and engage the audience.  
  • Identifies, implements and evaluates the success of continuous improvement activities/initiatives to improve the safety, effectiveness and efficiency of BHP systems and processes.  
  • Applies an understanding of the business context, BHP operating model and ways of working to enhance decision making, productivity and value chain performance.

About You

 

  • Experience in a Lean Six Sigma & Projects environment

  • Ideally, deep understanding of the BHP Operating System & leadership coaching

  • Highly experienced in deploying lean practices and coaching leaders in mindsets, behaviours and best practice.

  • Ability to contextualize the lean framework for different types of working environments.

  • Experienced in influencing leaders to change behaviours and providing guidance in the benefits BOS will bring to the team.

  • Experienced in observing and identifying opportunities and pain points within teams and designing solutions aligned to a lean framework.

  • Ability to objectively assess current state team behaviours maturity and provide meaningful feedback on improvement opportunities to create the desire to change.

  • Experienced in fostering a culture of continuous improvement through effective engagements across all levels.

  • Ability to managing multiple and shifting priorities across a wide range of stakeholders.
