About the role

 

The purpose of this role is to provides technical expertise in the provision of cost estimating activities, to influence the on-time and on-budget delivery of project objectives.

 

Core responsabilities:


•    Develops and preparing accurate estimates in all levels to the study, included definitive estimates. 
 
•    Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and leadership experience are essential. 
 
•    Analyze project specifications and gather necessary information for estimates.
 
•    Develops, predicts/forecasts and benchmarks project costs and estimates in line with mining industry standards, principles and practices.
 
•    Develops safe project delivery and contractor performance strategies to maximize portfolio value and enhance improvement and innovation.  
 
•    Develops and communicates insights that guide data driven action and decision making.
 
•    Determines the underlying cause of problems and evaluates multiple solutions to ensure a planned and structured approach to solving complex problems.  
 
•    Mitigates people, community, human rights and modern slavery, environmental and climate risks across the value chain, in alignment with public policy and our sustainability and climate commitments.  
 
•    Sources information, plans and conducts analyses to support evidence-based decision making.
 
•    Intermediate skill in English.
 
•    Engages the capabilities of the entire organization.  

About You

 

Requirements:

 

•    A Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction, Business, Quantity surveying or related/relevant discipline

 

•    Intermediate Skill in English

 

•    15 years of experience in mining projects.

 

•    10 years of experience in estimating role.

 

Location: Santiago
