About the Role
The Maintenance Budgeting Solution (MBS) supports Maintenance Budget Developers in creating and managing work management budgets and forecasts.
Reporting to the Manager MBS and working within the Maintenance Centre of Excellence (MECoE), this role is responsible for all data-driven processes within the MBS team. The position spans business-as-usual activities such as reporting, data governance, continuous improvement, and supporting investigations, as well as supporting asset deployment during new operation onboarding.
You will join a small but high-performing team responsible for supporting the MBS and enabling maintenance and engineering teams to achieve exceptional performance today and into the future. This role will provide exposure to:
- Creation and maintenance of Power BI reports and dashboards, including future-state implementation of enterprise data platforms (e.g., Snowflake).
- Advising on process and governance improvements within the MBS framework, including documentation and knowledge capture.
- Creation and maintenance of MBS data artefacts and supporting cross-discipline reviews and benchmarking.
- Deployment of new assets under the MBS framework, including data preparation, validation, and integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance Power BI reporting workspaces and pipelines; deliver workshops and upskilling sessions.
- Create and maintain Snowflake schemas and views; support investigations and “deep dives” for data issues.
- Drive process and governance improvements, including updating documentation and creating clear guides to capture team knowledge and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with governance standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and validate data extracts for new asset deployments; liaise with Budget Developers, Master Data Owners, and TechOps.
About You
Critical Skills and Experience
- Proficiency in SQL and Power BI; familiarity with Snowflake.
- Strong analytical and investigation skills with attention to data quality and integrity.
- Experience in data governance, reporting, and process improvement.
- Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and communicate effectively across teams.
- Competence in project management and change management principles.
- Collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience with SAP and an understanding of its underlying maintenance data structures and models.
Nice to have (non-critical):
- Experience with SharePoint workflows and automation.
- Familiarity with enterprise data platforms beyond Snowflake.
