About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Finance Business Partnership Brazil Non-Operated Joint Ventures (NOJV), the Principal Finance Business Partnership supports NOJV Finance Business Partnership activities and provide efficient, accurate and timely delivery of finance related advisory, governance, budgeting, business planning, and identification and delivery of continuous improvement initiatives.
Main Accountabilities:
• Deliver against established key focus areas through proactive engagement and influencing a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders by working collaboratively within cross functional teams and subject matter experts.
• Accountable for the accuracy and completeness of cost estimates for actions arising from the settlement agreement reached in Brazil and provision of financial data to senior management and other internal/external stakeholders.
• Provide financial governance and analytical oversight, with a data-driven approach to problem solving.
• As a member of Samarco Finance Committee, optimize the value of business decisions by balancing outcomes are in the best interest of the underlying business while it also leads to optimal return on our investment.
• Identify, analyse and provide recommendations to resolve ongoing complex challenges associated with implementing the settlement agreement, taking into consideration views of Finance, Legal and Technical teams.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, with a commitment to identifying value accretive alternatives ensuring improvement efforts are focused on the things that matter most.
About You
To be a top performer you will need:
• A degree qualified professional, with proven commercial acumen (e.g. Finance, Engineering, MBA).
• 10+ years of proven experience related to the role.
• Enthusiastic, confident self-starter, with the ability to motivate and work autonomously.
• Create a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and delivery, with the ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders and functional teams to drive outcomes.
• Ability to proactively identify and resolve complex problems, think outside the box and drive change.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, allowing you to build strong relationships, communicate and influence across all levels of the organization to drive the right value outcomes.
• Fluency in English and Portuguese, verbal and written, required.
• Availability to work 3 days a week in Belo Horizonte office.
