The challenge ahead of you

 

As a Principal Finance Business Partnership professional, you will play a critical role in influencing Operations and Functions to deliver business plans, improve the management of both operating and capital costs, and maximize business value.

 

Based in Antofagasta, you will work across functions and engage stakeholders at multiple levels to drive business performance through financial insight and value-focused decision making. You will challenge existing paradigms, identify opportunities for value creation, and partner closely with business leaders to improve financial outcomes and support strategic priorities.
Through your expertise, you will contribute to strengthening financial capability across the organization, delivering high-quality analysis, supporting key business decisions, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement. You will also collaborate with operational and analytics teams to identify opportunities that enhance performance and create sustainable value for the business.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Challenge existing business paradigms and promote new ways of creating value.
  • Identify and pursue value opportunities across the business by partnering with stakeholders at all levels and across functions.
  • Develop financial capability within line leadership through planning, performance, cost and value insights.
  • Provide critical and accurate financial analysis to support tactical and strategic decision making.
  • Leverage your technical expertise to coach and support Finance colleagues in delivering performance outcomes.
  • Lead the implementation and monitoring of Finance Business Partnership improvement initiatives.
  • Review financial assessments related to improvement projects, cost-saving initiatives, and key cost drivers, sharing recommendations with management teams.
  • Collaborate closely with data analytics teams to support business performance and value creation.
  • Utilize analytical models, systems, and tools to improve process efficiency, standardization, and overall effectiveness.
  • Partner with Operations to collect and process information for the two-year budget and quarterly forecasting cycles.
  • Analyze budget and forecast results to identify variances, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Perform monthly cost analysis and control activities, working closely with operational teams to understand deviations and implement corrective actions.

 

What we expect from you

 

  • Degree qualification in Business, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally within the mining industry.
  • Intermediate proficiency in both English and Spanish.
  • Experience influencing and collaborating with stakeholders in complex, global, and dynamic organizations.
  • Experience working within innovative and high-performing business environments.
  • Strong operational, commercial, and financial acumen.
  • Well-developed negotiation, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Availability to work in Antofagasta, 5x2.
