About the Role


This role is primarily responsible for the coordination and delivery of the operational governance activities for the Ethics & Investigations (E&I) team.  As part of the Ethics Strategy & Reporting team, this role supports and delivers the E&I operational governance activities including Board and RAC reporting governance, risk and audit management and financial management activities.

 

  • Board and RAC reporting governance including coordination of E&I Board and RAC reports.  
  • Coordination of E&I’s contributions to the BHP Annual Report including Disclosures.
  • Support the completion of E&I’s yearend governance activities including Representation Letters.
  • Internal and external audit management including coordination of E&I’s involvement in internal audits, Annual Report and SOX Disclosures.
  • E&I risk management including supporting E&I risk and controls owners and planning and oversight of risk routines.
  • Supporting the E&I budget and financial management activities including, capital planning, annual budget processes and year end activities. 
  • Oversight of investigation support and triage activities to support the investigations and response processes.
  • Coordinates and supports E&I’s contribution and actions for ad hoc activities such as EA wide initiatives.
  • Develops and maintains professional and collaborative relationships with the E&I team, the Business and our external stakeholders by building trust and respect, acting with high ethical standards, objectivity, transparency, due care and professionalism.
  • Actively participates in the enhancement of E&I governance processes by applying BOS tools and practices to drive improvement. 
  • Provides an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development including managing their own wellbeing and reducing psychosocial risks associated with the job.

About You

 

  • Extensive governance, risk, and audit experience 
  • Proven skills in Board and Executive reporting.
  • Ethics and Business Conduct acumen.
  • Extensive budget and financial management experience
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and time critical tasks.
  • Degree qualified in, accounting, (or extensive relevant equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Office 365, SAP and SAP GRC (desirable) 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving skills
