About the Role
Our Global BHP Technology function is undergoing an exciting transformation journey and moving towards more modern ways of working. As part of the Corporate Functions and Global Business Services Team, you will report directly to the Lead Reporting, Budgeting and Forecasting, also working closely with the Product Manager Finance and Risk, Finance Product Owners, Product Manager (ERP Chapter and Release), SAP, Systems Integration (SI) Partners and be accountable for defining solution design and architecture of the Finance applications and platforms focused on Business Group Reporting, SAP S/4 Hana Group Reporting. This role will have a specific focus on Group Reporting and Consolidation activities, however, you will form part of a larger team, to support critical BAU (Business as Usual) and other Project activities.
This role is based in Australia (Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide), Singapore and India (Bengaluru)
- Deliver key Group Reporting and Consolidation program of work activity as functional subject matter expert (SME) and ensure the solution is aligned to technology strategy and functional roadmaps for Finance.
- Manage application lifecycle to keep the applications current and relevant for the business and be accountable for solution design and delivery of SAP S/4 Hana Group Reporting applications for Group Reporting and Consolidation projects including testing and data migration.
- Identifying innovative solutions and optimization opportunities that will improve the relevance and performance of the (SAP) systems landscape for the Finance Function.
- Perform high level solution design for enhancements or changes, incorporating the modern design into the existing Finance application architecture, Support the execution of Opportunity Assessment and Identification and Selection process for projects under the Finance technology portfolio.
- Work with the Product Owners for ongoing maintenance of all Blueprints and provide subject matter expertise to technology projects and to drive collaboration within the team to ensure effective delivery and transition of B&F projects and other activities.
- Engage with stakeholders in technology and business for scoping, gathering requirements, analysis, solution design and play-back, impact assessment, technology trend analysis, problem management, business impact scoping and other testing or training requirements.
About You
- Senior experienced and specializing in the functional design and solution architecture of SAP Finance applications.
- Deep understanding of SAP S/4 Hana Group Reporting (GR), and knowledge of at least 2 more aspects of Finance including but not limited to: S/4 Hana Finance, SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC), SAP Business Intelligence (BI)
- Design, configuration, and implementation experience in SAP Finance applications covering business planning in SAP GR, BPC, BI, and S/4 Hana.
- Experience in integration between products like GR, BI and backend ERP systems.
- Demonstrated experience with industry best practices and implementing these to solve business problems.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Team working skills, capable of engagement and influence different stakeholders and ability to manage conflicts/issues with the business/end users.
- Proactive, excellent problem analysis skill and readiness to accept change
- Techno-Functional knowledge with ability to translate Business processes to Functional Design and Technical solution, and vice-versa.
Desirable Skills
- Relevant SAP application Certification is desirable.
- Degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Finance CA/CPA is desirable.
- Verbal and written Spanish communication skills would be beneficial.
- Knowledge and practical experience in Agile, DevOps methodologies and practices is an advantage.
