About the Role

 

  • Provides technical expertise in the advisory, management and continuous improvement of our HR & Payroll, systems and processes. 

  • Wrangles, cleanses and manages data/metadata to maintain the quality and integrity of BHP data and ensure compliance with data security, privacy and legal requirements.   

  • Engages with data owners to identify common data between systems and conduct data profiling to understand potential data quality issues and facilitates remedial processing. 

  • Partners with data engineers/other relevant experts to resolve complex data errors/issues and improve the quality of BHP's HR & Payroll master data. 

  • Identifies, engages and manages a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders.   

  • Identifies and assesses risks, makes risk informed decisions, uses BHP's risk management framework and builds a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes.   

  • Manages new and existing sets of master data, runs and cleanses reports to remove errors and improve the quality of HR & Payroll master data across BHP.   

  • Sources information, plans and conducts analyses to support evidence-based decision making.   

  • Identifies, implements and evaluates the success of continuous improvement activities/initiatives to improve the safety, effectiveness and efficiency of BHP systems and processes.   

  • Applies an understanding of the business context, BHP operating model and ways of working to enhance decision making, productivity and value chain performance.   

  • Engages the capabilities of the entire organisation.   

  • Strives to achieve 100% safety, 100% customer value and 0% waste.

About You

 

  • Experience ensuring data quality of employee records 
  • Proven success working in a multi-national organisation with a complex industrial relations environment  
  • Experience ensuring compliance to relevant HR & Payroll data legislation 
  • Experience implementing HR & Payroll data validation rules 
  • Experience working collaboratively across related functions (HR, Payroll, IT, Tech) 
  • Experience generating and acting on HR & Payroll Reports and Dashboards 
  • Exposure to HR & Payroll data migrations or system integrations 
  • Experience driving completion of outcomes/deliverables of third-party team members 
  • Ability to recognise patterns in data errors and train existing HR & Payroll team members 
  • Strong problem solving and stakeholder management skills to address data discrepancies 
  • Proficiency in Excel (including macros) and Power BI 
  • Sound understanding of HR & Payroll processes, terminology and metrics 
  • Ability to identify duplicate, inconsistent or incomplete HR & Payroll data 
  • Proficiency in SuccessFactors and SAP 
  • Familiarity with automation tools such as Power Automate
