About the Role

    

 

Leads the integration and management of the BHP multiple work streams across the Samarco Joint Ventures, Min Am regional functions and global functions focused in Safety, Culture and Productivity delivered through a strategic vision on communication, stakeholder management, innovation, risk management, assurance processes and change management.
 The role has the purpose of actively seeking opportunities for value creation, by establishing analysis and improvements activities through managing the information generated by the NOJV asset.
    
     
    
Core Accountabilities:
    

    
    •    Managed Non Operated Joint Venture (NOJV) working agenda related to Samarco, including BOS (BHP Operating System) routines for coordination and decision-making process supporting the respective Head of NOJV
    •    Administrate the information that feed the BHP monitoring, benchmarks and reports of Samarco performance. 
    •    Managed the agenda of commitment with the NOJV governance bodies, also the investment process related to the respective NOJV under her/his responsibility (Samarco)
    •    Execute the activities to comply with the NOJV standards and processes including BLD, Reporting, CAP, Budget, BOS, Governance, Risk, Auditing and A&I. 
    •    Support the process of risk management, ensuring it is properly assessed and controlled across the respective NOJV under her/his responsibility.
    •    Supports Head of JV in developing the appropriate documentation regards budget approval, Investment Process, CAP and any communication related to the specific scope of the asset under his/her responsibility, including Board, committee and particular session preparation. 
    •    Supports the activities related to monitoring, governance and Joint Ventures performances in conjunction with the Heads of JVs in the Asset under responsibility, including Board and Committee participations in the role of observer or alternate member.
    
     
    
Functional Excellence:
    
     
    
    •    Manage requirement into the NOJV Asset with regards the Business Level Document 
    •    Execute the appropriate routines to make real BOS (BHP Operating System) in the NOJV organization
    •    Coordinate and participate on reviews and track implementation of actions
    •    Supports the execution of risk and quality management plans to assure effective management of in her /his respective Joint Venture (Antamina, Cerrejon and Resolution) organization.
    •    Build strong relationships and exercise influential role with a broad range of stakeholders including Non-operated Joint Ventures, Regional and Global Functions, and Leadership teams.

 

*This position will be based in Belo Horizonte.

Qualifications 

    
•    University degree in Business & Management or Engineering.
•    Availability to travel to the different locations as necessary
    Bilingual (Englis, Portuguese), Spanish desirable, but not exclusive
    
    
Experience & Technical Competencies

    
•    Minimum of five years of professional experience in functional/operational roles.
•    Experience in BHP investment process, governance, GLDs, BHP processes and policies (desirable but not exclusionary) – or equivalent to investing banking or other mining company. 
•    Background in mining projects, mining operations or mining business analyst desirable (must understand range of scope alternatives).
•    Capacity to analysis multidimensional problems in uncertain scenarios.
