About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Marketing Strategy, you will lead the establishment and maintenance of Potash placement and pricing strategy—grounded in a current view of market dynamics and developed in close engagement with stakeholders across Sales & Marketing, the Asset, MAE and Leadership.
Key accountabilities:
- Develop and maintain the placement strategy, defining where and how we sell to strengthen market access and value realisation.
- Develop and review contract pricing strategy, balancing commercial & operational objectives
- Establish and maintain commercial benchmarks to support consistent, evidence‑based decision‑making.
- Maintain an up‑to‑date view of the Potash market (supply/demand, pricing, trade flows, competitor and customer dynamics) and translate insights into implications for strategy and execution.
- Support the translation of strategic direction into our Placement Plan.
- Lead Potash price forecasting from a Marketing perspective, consolidating Marketing views on market drivers, assumptions and scenarios (informed by an ongoing Potash market view) that feed into the MAE price forecast.
- Own and periodically refresh the long‑term Marketing strategy, including product strategy, placement strategy and position in the value chain.
- Provide Marketing input to Potash Asset strategy and related studies, bringing market context and commercial insight to key decisions.
About You
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, including the ability to synthesise inputs, structure problems and turn ambiguity into clear options and recommendations.
- Deep commercial and analytical capability, including experience developing market views, benchmarks and scenarios.
- Ability to analyse commodity markets, interpret market signals and develop a clear view of key drivers, risks and opportunities.
- Proven stakeholder engagement and influence—able to co-create strategy across multiple teams and senior leaders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages from detailed analysis to executive-level storytelling.
- Experience leading strategy development in Potash or another relevant commodity (highly regarded).
- Bachelor’s degree in a commercial, economic, technical and/or relevant business discipline.
