About the Role

The Principal Performance and Evaluation provides continuous improvement leadership, supporting the delivery and evaluation of Procurements contribution to Asset value, through cost saving, supplier relationships and internal cost initiatives. 

This is a Permanent opportunity located in Brisbane.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Apply a holistic mind-set to end-to-end Supply Chain to enhance efficiency, drive optimisation, and maximise value. 
  • Own the Transformation Value Realisation & Reporting Framework for the Procurement Function, advocating valuation and process improvements within the Technical function.
  • Drive Procurement’s CAP, evaluation, reporting and target setting of In Year Cash for BHP Assets and Procurement Value Chain Category teams.
  • Lead and influence a multitude of stakeholders through engagement, identification, analysis and bringing together diverse teams to implement sustainable, value generating solutions.  
  • Identify and prioritise opportunities across regions, evaluating progress to targets across the delivery of BHP Asset based outcomes.
  • Apply intelligence on industry trends and market dynamics to drive enhanced decision making and planning that inform External Spend analysis and forecasting for executive and Asset insights 
  • Support Supplier Relationship Management forums and provide insights in to Performance outcomes and Risk trade-offs.
  • Use risk management and change controls to build a risk awareness culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes.

About You

You will have the following skills and experience:

  • 8+ years professional experience in a Commercial, Financial or Improvement role.

  • Superior stakeholder management skills with senior stakeholders with the confidence to challenge the status quo to generate value.

  • Proven influencing and problem-solving experience supporting multiple challenging stakeholder groups and situations

  • Demonstrated analytical skills utilising big data and analytical modelling with the depth of systemic root cause analysis.

  • Understanding industry trends and purchasing price indexation across multiple commoditised categories.

  • Exceptional communication and problem / solution framing.

  • Bachelor Degree in Commerce, Finance, Supply Chain or similar.

  • Experience in WAVE systems and the Mining or Resources sector preferred by not essential.
