About the Role
Provides governance expertise to successful development and delivery of projects in line with BHP standards and requirements, to optimise value for BHP.
Main responsabilities:
- Support and provide leadership in the delivery of key documents of study phases, such as: Investment Review Committee Notification (IRCN), Investment Approval Request (IAR), Supplementary Approval Request (SAR), Board memo, Study Work Plan (SWP), Project Execution Strategy (PES), and Project Execution Plan (PEP).
- Support preparing the investment case and coordinating the relevant gate governance processes in compliance with Our Requirements and local requirements to ensure transition to the next phase
- Identifies opportunities to optimise value and to create and preserve maximum value from projects across BHP.
- Identifies Optimised With/Optimised Without framework principles to create and preserve maximum value from projects across BHP.
- Monitor the study schedule, cost and scope in accordance and compliance with the approved business case, internal and external governance processes and Our Requirements and ensures that deviations / risks are adequately communicated to the relevant stakeholders, managed and rectified.
- Monitors project performance to deliver projects in line with safety standards, requirements, budget and scope.
- Integrates and applies internal lessons learned and external best practices across the project with identified opportunities for improvements in project management, increased capital efficiency and productivity.
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, or related disciplines.
- Desirable Postgraduate studies in business/finance or project management.
- Experience in the preparation of key documents of study phases, such as: Investment Review Committee Notification (IRCN), Investment Approval Request (IAR), Supplementary Approval Request (SAR), Board memo, Study Work Plan (SWP), Project Execution Strategy (PES), and Project Execution Plan (PEP).
- A sound understanding of key business and mining industry performance drivers.
- Strategic and analytical thinker that demonstrates business acumen, with the ability to focus and prioritise critical deliverables to provide timely insights to stakeholders.
