About the Role

 

Support team focused on the monitoring and governance of a portfolio of projects in order to seek opportunities for value creation and preservation by setting program-wide strategies for standardisation, replication and continuity. Coaches and develops team leaders / teams to deliver high performance.

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Support team focused on implementation of BOS and other regional/global initiatives.
  • Coach and develop the VP team to deliver high performance results through the BHP Operating System.
  • Support the implementation and best practices of the routines aligned with BOS.
  • Maintain close interaction with key stakeholders from the Asset, Functions, PCoE and MinAm to:
    • ensure progress of the 14 practices of BOS in VP Projects,
    • translate regional and global strategy into operational plans for the team,
    • capture feedback, understand voice of the customer, and identify improvement opportunities to ensure excellence in the service delivered. Confirm that team efforts are aligned to customer priorities.
    • capture good practices, and opportunities for replication and knowledge sharing, aligned with the Projects One Team approach. 
  • Conduct presentations and facilitates workshops using storytelling to connect, influence and engage the audience.
  • Lead change management activities for moderate complexity change. Applies and evaluates change management tools, methods, purpose, value and strategic direction.
  • Identify, implement and evaluate the success of continuous improvement activities/initiatives to improve the safety, effectiveness and efficiency of BHP systems and processes.

About You

 

  • Civil Engineer / Business/ Finance, entitled.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in projects with focus on portfolio management, project controls, data analysis and reporting, BOS and continuous improvement.
  • English spoken and written.
  • Verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to transmit information and ideas.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify key / critical working relationships within and across teams, and promote the effective development of these relationships.
  • Experience to presents data in a format that enables a variety of stakeholders to easily grasp difficult concepts.
  • Ability to facilitate alignment and decision making in the context of conflict and opposing views, in line with the Charter Values.
  • Able to work effectively in projects of different sizes, and share and transfer knowledge within the teams.
  • Ensure planning and execution of improvement initiatives across functional boundaries.
  • Ability to prioritise and understand critical business.
