About the role

 

The purpose of this role is provides technical expertise in the monitoring and governance of a portfolio of projects in order to seek opportunities for value creation and preservation by setting program-wide strategies for standardization, replication and continuity.

 

Main Responsabilities:

 

  • Conducts benchmarking, implements prioritization methodologies and identifies key investment drivers to effectively manage key requirements across the portfolio. 
  • Leads the execution of specific CAP deliverables for an Asset/Function to develop plans, targets and budgets, and captures improvements from execution to improve future CAP cycles.
  • Leads discussions and presentations on the CAP process and outputs to build internal stakeholder understanding and buy-in.
  • Develops and communicates insights that guide data driven action and decision making.  
  • Translates corporate objectives into actionable plans, communicating, managing and analysing the implementation of those plans, and reporting back on their progress to facilitate the delivery of our strategy.  
  • Conducts presentations and facilitates workshops using storytelling to connect, influence and engage the audience.  
  • Sources information, plans and conducts analyses to support evidence based decision making.  
  • Applies an understanding of the business context, BHP operating model and ways of working to enhance decision making, productivity and value chain performance.  
  • Shows curiosity, asks questions and listens carefully to understand what the customers need. Shares this information clearly with others to make sure everyone understands what the customer wants, and how to deliver it with good quality and reasonable cost.
  • Clearly explains analytical approaches and results, extracting and articulating relevant insights as key inputs to decision making.
  • Sets value driving organizational strategy based on a deep understanding of the BHP operating context, commercial drivers of the business and broader industry landscape.
  • Seeks to understand how their work contributes to the direction and targets of the team and needs of customers.
  • Engages the capabilities of the entire organization.  
  • Strives to achieve 100% safety, 100% customer value and 0% waste.  
  • Knows our customer and is obsessed with meeting their needs.  

About You

 

Requirements:

 

  • Professional degree related to the position.
  • At least 8 years of experience in similar roles.
  • Experience in implementing and sustaining Continuous Improvement tools.

 

Location: Santiago 

 

Mandatory requirement: Availability to travel to our operations
