About the Role

 

Reporting to the PC&A CuSA MP Risk Lead, you will be part of the PC&A Team, providing first line risk support to CuSA MP. This will involve familiarity with project and/or program risk management, risk process, systems and the IPT/EPCM models to effectively support the delivery of the Program. 

 

Your success will be heavily influenced by your strong communication and organisational skills, coupled with your ability to direct and assure sound risk management process and activities.  

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Support and ensure delivery partner (EPCM) meets BHP risk management requirements in accordance with contract / scope of services 
  • ‌Guide the Program to identify and record all material and non-material risks in accordance with BHP Risk Management requirements 
  • Manage and facilitate BHP Owner’s Team Program risk review cadence/routine 
  • Develop, review and/or complete all risk-related documentation deliverables where required 
  • Present the Risk management functional requirements to IPR and EPR teams 
  • Produce all internal risk reporting requirements 
  • Support the designated CuSA MP Regional Critical Control Owners during Control Effectiveness Testing (CET) as part of MAP material risk management 
  • Participate and initiate improvement opportunities to build capability in the application of risk management practices within both Risk Function and Program 
  • Have strong ongoing engagement with all key stakeholders 
  • Lead and participate in Field Leadership activities 

About You

 

The successful candidate will be Adelaide based or willing to relocate and will have the following key skills: 

 

  •  Demonstrated risk management experience with involvement in projects/programs 
  • Experience in working with EPCM contractors 
  • Knowledge of professional risk standards (e.g. ISO31000) 
  • An understanding of BHP risk framework and material risk management 
  • Basic competency of internal risk-based systems and tools 
  • A proactive nature, can-do attitude and desire to make a difference in a collaborative, high performing team 
  • The ability to demonstrate aptitude for developing and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships at all levels 
  • The confidence to lead by example, hold yourself and others accountable in ‘Safety Leadership’
