About the Role

 

We are currently seeking a Principal Quality supporting our CCAP Assets as part of a diverse Quality team across Minerals Australia, providing specialist quality input to the project teams.

 
You will play a pivotal role in development and coordination of Quality Management strategy, standards, procedures, processes, systems and plans including quality planning and quality improvement for a program of capital projects.

Reporting to the Manager Quality in the Minerals Australia Projects Functions team your accountabilities will include:

 

  • Early project engagement with Development / Delivery Leads to ensure quality focus is applied through all phases and in all functional areas and owner’s team quality requirements are included in contractor’s project deliverables. 
  • Review and endorse Company quality related documentation to ensure that quality management is fit for purpose to facilitate overall project quality performance.
  • Coordinate the review of vendor data and monitors contractors ensuring that Quality Management data is delivered checked and incorporated in a timely manner.
  • Monitor the development of the Quality Management plans in conjunction with the Project teams to monitor schedule slippage minimize effects of this.
  • Coordinate execution of risk and quality management plans to assure effective management of the project's Quality Management scope of work.
  • Identify and implement improvement initiatives, including programmatic opportunities for increased capital efficiency and productivity in the function.
  • Evaluates key learnings, industry leading practice and innovations in quality management to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Development Delivery Teams to ensure fit for purpose processes and tools are available to achieve the project scope, cost and schedule requirements.

About You

Proactive, credible and influential, you relate well with people, communicating confidently and building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.


As the successful candidate, you will also possess the following:

 

  • Quality Management background with experience in the resources sector
  • Lead Auditor qualifications.
  • Ability to engage and motivate others to drive continual improvement.
  • Excellent writing skills built on previous Quality experience is required.
  • Ability to inspire and educate around the importance of Quality awareness.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and able to prioritise tasks in accordance with requirements.
  • Sound understanding of ISO 9001 Principles.
  • Technical knowledge of trades desirable.

Location

 

This role is based in Adelaide on a Mon-Fri roster, offering a quality standard of living without the high costs of most other Australian capital cities. This role will also involve some site travel as required.
