About the Role

 

Governance of Standardised Work processes, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness by identifying improvement opportunities. Lead integration of SW across the asset in relation to people, process and systems, including providing the interface for development of the SW Digital Tools, ensuring an enterprise global solution on behalf of the Business. 

 

  • Ensure Standardised Work Asset processes are integrated with global process (such as Work Management) and are fit for purpose, by engaging with the asset to identify opportunities for improvement in both the process and its embedment. 
  • Support to line leaders as they develop improvement plans for remediation activities to embed the associated Standardised Work global process in their local way of working. 
  • Provide expert advice on end-to-end process requests for Standardised Work at the Asset for improvement opportunities and projects. 
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the MECoE MSG SW team and other Assets to 
  • Manage and communicate design requirements, technical solution build, User Acceptance Testing and roll out for the Asset.
  • Monitor effectiveness of Standardised Work across the Asset.
  • Escalate high priority incidents that impact Standardised Work Digital Tool global process users.
  • Provide guidance to Operational and Functional leaders (e.g. Managers, Superintendents) on the interpretation and best practices in implementing and complying with the requirements of Standardised Work and the associated Global Standards. 
  • Coordinate, lead and participate in Standardised Work second line assurance activities at the Asset.

About You

 

  • Experience implementing and sustaining BOS tools [continuous improvement methodology] (including 5S, standardised work, leader standard work, A3 problem solving, value stream mapping, visual management and ‘Go and Sees’)
  • Experience identifying, implementing and evaluating the success of continuous improvement activities/initiatives to improve safety, effectiveness and efficiency. 
  • Experience coaching BOS and/or leading and coaching in a BOS way, inclusive of Standardised Work, as a line leader (Supervisor or Superintendent level). 
  • Experience applying systems thinking, working with a continuous improvement culture or deploying BOS / Operational excellence.
  • Experience in successfully implementing initiatives that improve productivity and/or safety.
  • Experience in deploying Standardised Work 
  • Experience working on a Software development team, in any capacity.
  • Experience managing product stakeholders 
  • Experience defining, managing and auditing standards, processes and guideline
