About the Role

 

 

This role provides technical expertise  in identifying, scoping and delivering ongoing projects improvement opportunities for our systems . Role is focused on  value creation and preservation by setting global strategies for standardisation, replication and continuity.

 
Contributes to project leadership and the safe and efficient delivery of projects through their lifecycle in line with BHP standards and requirements, within budget, scope and schedule to optimise value for BHP.

 
Key Accountabilities:


•    Develops and adheres to system management principals, processes and systems, strategies and governance standards and integrates multiple sources of project information to drive the accurate capture of project information across the projects life-cycle. 
•    Develops, optimises and governs project system management strategies to drive continuous improvement and replication of best practices across projects while optimising value for the long term. 
•    Determines the underlying cause of problems and evaluates multiple solutions to ensure a planned and structured approach to solving complex problems.
•    Driving performance and troubleshooting issues and coordinating upgrades to the system and supporting environment to maximise value and minimise business risk and impact.
•    Drive improvements  and completion of tactics to materialise improving performance.
•    Enhance our teams world class operations by Communicating and collaborating with the utmost respect and integrity with all internal and external stakeholders; and Developing key relationships across BHP stakeholders.
•    Potentially add works with our vendors / technology on their roadmap of upgrades and new functionality to maximise business benefits whilst mitigating risks for change.
•    Applies and understanding of technical systems, systems integration and data models when conducting work activities and executes and governs technical system legal requirements to maintain and improve the efficiency and compliance of functional integrity systems across BHP.
•    Liaises with BHP technology, and DevOps to ensure timely resolution of all key project systems.
•    Supports due diligence audits/investigations and tracks the findings to evaluate and recommend appropriate courses of action.

 

About You

 

 

To be a top performer you will need:

 


•    Professional degree related to the role. 
•    5+ years of practical experience in systems support related roles.
•    Experience in key BHP Projects business systems, including 1SAP, Excel, Planview, Ecosys, P6.
•    Experience planning and running continuous improvement cycles/projects.
•    Advanced Spanish and English proficiency. 
•    Experience with structured problem-solving approaches or methodologies.
•    An inquisitive nature and flexibility to work in a team distributed across time zones.
•    Ability to have fun in a fast paced, high standard environment.
•    Solution Architect skills an added advantage.
