About the Role
We are looking for a Principal Test Automation professional to take responsibility for the development and maintenance of QA test automation framework for ERP (SAP), making it an integral part of Continuous Delivery and Test-Driven Development processes. Define test automation strategy and roadmap. Develop and implement test automation plans. Drive team towards achieving organization goals at project level, focus to continuously add value with the team by developing QA & Test automation solutions and collaborate with other stake holders to bring in best practices to the team. Location: Bangalore, India.
Key Accountabilities:
- Defining and implementing quality engineering strategies and leading a team that supports rapid application development.
- Transform testing into a continuous and efficient end-to-end quality engineering function using quality processes, tools, and methodologies significantly improving control, accuracy, and integrity.
- Evolve more predictive and intelligent testing approaches based on automation and innovative testing products and solutions. Analyse Test automation trends in the market, learn new tools as needed, and design reusable test automation frameworks.
- Coordinate with the Stakeholders to facilitate the gathering and documenting of test automation objectives and requirements for input into Automation Strategy and Design approach
- Support Technology and Functional teams as Test automation consultant in Setup, Planning, POC, Delivery, Training, and handover of test automation solutions
- Create automation strategy, automated scripts and supports data and environment configuration and create /propose win-win solutions for Test automation assignments
- Apply testing methodologies, principles and processes to define and implement key metrics to manage and assess the testing process including test execution and defect resolution.
- Coordinates and facilitates test automation delivery and POCs, coordinate with team and deliver Technical White papers, case studies, and other Sales collaterals on Test automation.
- Manage a team of testers and manage automated testing artifacts to ensure proper reuse, versioning, backups, organization, and retention.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree required; Computer Science or Engineering preferred.
- Should have hands-on experience in TOSCA (Tricentis) and Microfocus ALM/HP QC
- Good SAP technical and business process knowledge with an ability to understand functional/technical concepts for solution release management.
- Experience in managing and delivering test automation projects from scratch
- Familiar with end-end phases of test automation
- Should be familiar with code reviews, design patterns, and implementing best practices in test automation
- Strong experience in stakeholder management. As well as able to demonstrable experience in effectively engaging globally dispersed stakeholders and multi-disciplinary teams within matrix structures.
- High energy work ethic, tenacity, and patience along with attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with Strong problem solving and analytical decision-making capability.
- Effective communicator (both verbal and written) with solid interpersonal skills, excellent presentation skills, and ability to convey information to non-technical colleagues in a concise and clear way.
- Experience working on a collaborative agile product team.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse and understand functional, technical and non-functional requirements.
- Well-versed with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipeline.
- Experience working with some of these tools: Jenkins, Jira, Terraform, Ansible, ServiceNow, Splunk, source codes control,
- In-depth understanding of ITIL/ITSM practices.
