About the Role
Global Business Services (GBS) Strategic E2E Transformation is responsible for delivering short, medium and long term improvements for the BHP payroll transformation program. These improvements are across different aspects of workforce management such as data, controls and governance, systems and processes. Accurate, timely and efficient management of workforce information and payroll is a critical core process for any organisation, so joining this team provides an exciting opportunity to be part of the improvement of foundational HR processes that all employees rely on.
We have several Principal level positions available and are looking for passionate people who are keen to make a meaningful and positive impact to BHP through the collective delivery of multiple projects within the transformation program. This role can be based in Australia, Singapore or Malaysia
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Provide functional and/or technical advice to support delivery of program deliverables and outcomes across either:
− Workforce Management processes like Rostering Time & Attendance, and
− HR Information System (HRIS) processes like Hire to Termination.
- Identify, analyse and evaluate process and systems to ensure the future state design delivers compliance and efficiency outcomes.
- Provide leadership and project management of the HRIS workstream to ensure delivery aligned to the key objectives of that workstream.
- Day to day work management of deliverables and project resources (a combination of BHP employees and external consultants).
- Analyse data to draw out insights and solutions that addresses hypotheses and business challenges.
- Strong ability to persuade, influence and negotiate with stakeholders in order to implement process and system improvements that have a high business impact.
- Building and maintaining good working relationships with people located globally, both within BHP and externally (e.g. consultants, service providers, vendors etc.)
- Translate business requirements, balancing asset-specific needs with a process simplification agenda across Workforce Management and HRIS.
- Facilitate identification and mitigation of risks, and proactive / pragmatic problem solving to ensure deadlines are met and that initiatives move forward at pace.
- Provide guidance to the team to ensure that improvements / solutions align with other systems and processes in the landscape, as well as the broader HR roadmap.
About You
- You have a strong understanding of HR tools and processes, including experience with either HRIS (SuccessFactors) and/or Workforce Management (UKG Kronos or SAP Workforce) systems.
- You’re comfortable to take the lead when required, proactively seeking clarity and drive for outcomes when things are unclear
- Ability to manage others, utilizing a diverse set of skills and experiences to achieve the objective.
- Can think strategically (see the big picture and connect dots) but also able to keep things simple and you're comfortable to work in detail where required.
- Ability to identify and understand different stakeholders and their needs, influence others and work collaboratively to get aligned outcomes.
- You can build strong personal connections and good working relationships and use these effectively.
- Inquisitive in nature, strong attention to detail and determination to deliver.
- Experience in HR operations, large scale payroll transformations.
- Ability to identify and assess risks, makes risk informed decisions, uses BHP's risk management framework and builds a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes.
- Ability to think conceptually, analyse, problem solve and drive practical solutions.
- Attention to detail, good analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in HR operations, large scale Workforce Management / HRIS transformations, or HR systems and technology improvement projects is advantageous.
