About the Role
The Processing Specialist safely and competently operates under the supervisor ensuring all in field tasks are carried out in accordance with all work instructions and safety standards to achieve safety and production targets by adhering to operating requirements and striving for the achievement of individual, team, and site objectives as directed.
In this role you will:
- Comply to and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable you to work safely and effectively every day.
- Assist in the planning of isolations during plant outages.
- Lead the operation team on nightshifts, problem solving issues, escalating to shift supervisor when required.
- Assist Shift Supervisor by monitoring the performance of equipment and tasks to ensure productivity is safely maximised.
- Monitor and improve plant throughout all processes, communication with production technicians and use of business systems.
- Establish collaborative working relationships within the work team and other departments.
- Ensure effective exchange of information at shift changeover.
- Identify and engage with other teams, to ensure maximum utilisation of time and resources.
- Embracing process safety methodology for the operation of the assets through the review and development of processes and procedures.
- Demonstrate initiative in situations where sufficient process knowledge/competency exists and use of escalation procedure when faced with unfamiliar issues.
- Train and develop skills in all areas of Processing Plant Operations
- Use SAP to enter maintenance notifications, and maintain adequate consumable supplies, as well as for entering and investigating incidents as required.
- Contribute to and support the Shift Supervisor’s decisions and communicate these to team members.
About You
As a successful candidate you will possess the following:
- Demonstrate the confidence to lead by example, hold yourself and others accountable, and coach others in ‘Safety Leadership’.
- Experience using control systems
- Good knowledge of isolation procedure and process.
- Ability to work effectively within the Prominent Hill operations and functional teams.
- Collaborative and able to communicate across multiple levels and disciplines.
- Ability to interpret critical information and make decisions.
- Enthusiast to learn new skills and accept challenges.
- Good computer literacy with the ability to use SAP/ FIORI to enter maintenance notifications, order consumables, and incident investigations.
