About the Role
We’re looking for a values-driven Product Owner to join our team supporting the Project Centre of Excellence helping to shape the future of technology across safety, productivity, and people. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, values continuous improvement, and is passionate about delivering meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities:
- Define and communicate product strategy and roadmap aligned to business priorities.
- Lead the full product lifecycle—from ideation to delivery and operations.
- Integrate user feedback and business insights into product development.
- Collaborate across teams to manage dependencies and build strategic partnerships.
- Facilitate inclusive discussions and present to diverse stakeholder groups.
- Build strong partnerships with the PCoE Data & Systems team and other parts of Technology.
- Embed a culture of care and operational performance by being a visible leader of a globally diverse team (in both Australia and with our offshore partners)
- Champion a continuous improvement mindset and drive value delivery across initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for business value enhancement while implementing strategic measures to optimize overall operational efficiency
- Run and assist with capital projects, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
- Support flexible and inclusive ways of working that enable diverse contributions.
- Define and execute 90-day plans Assess and prioritize ad-hoc or out-of-cycle demands from customers and manage the backlog.
- Supports the management of vendor/customer selection, contracts, and performance to maximise operational and financial outcomes and mitigate BHP's exposure to risk
About You
What we are looking for:
- Experience in product ownership or related roles (we value transferable skills).
- Familiarity with SaaS platforms, API-first delivery, or agile methodologies.
- Strong strategic thinking capability with an ability to lead change within BHP and partner ecosystem
- Outstanding Stakeholder Management skills to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- A collaborative mindset and openness to learning.
- Demonstrate strong Team Leadership capabilities to inspire and guide cross functional teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
