About the Role


This high-profile role reporting to the General Manager will see you motivate and lead your team to safely deliver productivity improvements and cost reductions.

 

This is not your typical Production Manager position, in this critical role you will be able to:

 

  • Define project objectives/schedules, identify critical activities and monitor the schedule to drive continuous improvement
  • Lead change in traditional approaches to mining
  • Drive organisational change and operational discipline
  • Truly inspire people to engage and be part of a high performing team
  • Set a new high-performance benchmark and
  • You will lead a team of professionals to develop and integrate project deliverables through interfacing with broader BHP stakeholders at multiple levels.

 

This position will enable you to use your technical experience and leadership skills to coach and mentor your team, drive best practice, and truly make a difference to operational performance and setting new benchmarks. You will be a key decision maker and have strong influence regarding how the team operates.

About You


You will have experience in a leadership role and have significant experience within mining environments, have had operational, technical experience or motivation to be exposed to this area. You will have safety at the forefront of your mind when you develop solutions and engaging with people.

You will utilise your strategic and analytical mind, stakeholder management as well as your excellent business acumen to coach your team in order to drive productivity improvements and setting new benchmarks in the industry.

Whilst being a strong advocate for change, you will also be a performance and achievement oriented professional. You will be motivated by exceeding expectations, inspiring others and be able to use your relationship building and influencing skills in order to develop key relationships and drive outcomes. You will be able to communicate clearly at all levels of the business and develop trusted relationships with your stakeholders

About Our Process
