About the Role
We have opportunities for Production Supervisors to join the team at Caval Ridge Mine, one of BHP Mitsubishi Alliance's (BMA) leading operations in the Bowen Basin.
Reporting to the Production Superintendent, you will lead and support a team of operators, creating a safe, inclusive and high-performing work environment while delivering production outcomes. Working a 7/7 roster, you'll have the opportunity to develop your leadership capability, influence site culture and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
As a leader, you'll play a key role in fostering team engagement, supporting workforce development and ensuring every individual feels empowered to contribute and perform at their best.
Key responsibilities include:
- Demonstrate visible safety leadership and champion BHP's Charter values.
- Lead, coach and develop a team of operators to achieve operational goals.
- Coordinate daily prestrip activities to optimise safety, productivity and performance.
- Support a culture of inclusion, teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Monitor compliance with safety, environmental and operational standards.
- Manage shift handovers, workforce planning and contractor interactions.
- Investigate incidents and support the implementation of sustainable solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, performance and team effectiveness.
About You
You are a safety and people-focused leader who enjoys developing others, building strong team cultures and delivering results safely. You bring operational mining experience and a collaborative leadership style that inspires trust and engagement.
To be successful, you will have:
- Experience leading, coaching or mentoring teams within an operational environment.
- Experience in open cut mining, production or prestrip operations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A commitment to safety, inclusion and continuous improvement.
- The ability to make sound decisions and solve problems in a dynamic environment.
- A current Queensland Open Driver's Licence.
- S123 and G2 qualifications, or the ability to obtain them.
