About the Role

 

The Program Lead is responsible for leading the Payroll Program muti-year program of work ensuring the realisation of strategic benefits whilst mitigating risks.  As part of the Program Governance, Planning & Reporting team, this role will cultivate strong collaboration between all Program streams to enable critical strategic alignment to deliver within scope in line with governance protocols. Success will be demonstrated through the delivery of the critical path for the resolution of matters, identified in the management of the program.   

 

Program Management 
- Takes on a holistic view of the Program and all streams to ensure critical strategic alignment, planning and management of the program scope and integrated plan. 
- Monitors and manages the activities of the program to meet specific goals and requirements ensuring priorities and conflicts are managed. 
- Proactive interventions and decision-making that enables the program stays on track in line with program scope.
- Establishes appropriate planning cadence for the program in line with strategic scope and delivery of outcomes. 
- Develops the critical path for the program with collaboration between streams for the successful delivery of outcomes within program timelines.

 

Program Governance 
- Development and execution of program governance protocols by setting appropriate foundations, standards, discipline and processes on how the program will be managed. 
- Establishes disciplined ways of working and routines for the effective collaboration of all streams. 

 

Program Performance & Reporting
- Oversees performance reporting for the program ensuring Performance board KPI’s are monitored, measured and reported. 

 

Stakeholder Management 
- Communication and engagement with stakeholders at various levels assessing interest and concerns that may arise and managing communication and engagement.
- Ability to influence key outcomes as required with identified stakeholders. 

 

Program Risk Management 
- Manages the interdependencies between streams by monitoring and mitigating program risks and issues.
- Oversees the effective management of change interventions through the integrated plan working closely with Change.

 

Resource Management and Planning 
- Manages the resource requirements associated with the programme of work considering resourcing, capacity and capabilities required. 

About You

 

- Extensive experience in managing large, complex programs of work and project management 

- Experience managing teams through long, complex program implementations 

- Tertiary/Post Graduate qualifications in Business, Project Management (or extensive relevant equivalent experience)  

- Experience in governance and PMO 

- Resource and capacity planning

- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and time critical tasks.

- Proven experience working with Project Management systems – MS Projects 

- Strong verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving skills

- Program management experience in Payroll in a corporate environment
